The Sydney Chamber Music Project is a non-profit organisation initiated by a group of dedicated professional musicians, committed to fostering a vibrant and supportive community of chamber music enthusiasts.

We provide chamber music training for musicians with enthusiasm and potential, offering professional guidance, performance opportunities, and pathways to competition. 

Our students benefit from coaching by leading professional musicians and educators, including members of the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and distinguished faculty of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and its Rising Stars program. Through regular coaching, rehearsals, workshops, masterclasses, and performance opportunities, students are guided in developing the musical, technical, and collaborative skills required to perform confidently at a high level.

We also provide focused preparation for major chamber music competitions and performance opportunities, including the Musica Viva Strike a Chord Chamber Music Championship, Sydney Eisteddfod, and the Melbourne International Chamber Music Competition (MICMC). Through dedicated preparation and performance experience, students are encouraged to develop the confidence, discipline, and ensemble skills needed to perform successfully in competitive and professional settings.

Beyond competitions, we encourage our students to take part in community performances and share their music with wider audiences. These experiences provide valuable opportunities to develop stage presence, communication skills, confidence, and a deeper appreciation of the role of music in the community.

Our goal is not only to prepare young musicians for competitions, but to inspire a lasting appreciation of chamber music and help each musician grow as an independent, expressive, and collaborative artist.
